Turboclav 250mg Tablet is a combination antibiotic containing Cefuroxime and Clavulanic Acid. Cefuroxime belongs to the group of antibiotics called cephalosporins, and Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor. This combination is used to treat various bacterial infections. Cefuroxime inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial cell death. Clavulanic Acid inhibits beta-lactamase enzymes produced by bacteria that can inactivate Cefuroxime. This combination allows Cefuroxime to be effective against beta-lactamase-producing bacteria.
